Netflix Hackers May Have Three Dozen More Movies, Shows to Release | Variety

TheDarkOverlord, as the group calls itself, provided cybersecurity blog with a long list of movies and TV shows it claimed to have stolen from Larson Studios, a Hollywood-based audio post-production company. In addition to “Orange Is the New Black,” it also lists a number of high-profile shows from the big broadcast networks, including ABC’s “The Catch,” NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” CBS’ “NCIS Los Angeles,” and Fox’s “New Girl.”

I think these hackers are going to end up like the kidnappers from Ruthless People. this “content” is nothing anyone would go out of their way to get. It’s value does not translate to an open market.

Pirating a new Marvel movie or other tent pole picture has value. A few episodes of a Zooey Daschewut sit com and a jail house reboot of American Pie won’t move the needle.
